Natural minor scale

The natural minor scale is also known "relative" minor, because it has the same notes as the major scale.

Having the sixth degree of the C major scale as a tonic, the notes of the A natural minor scale will be therefore (A, B, C, D, E, F, G), the same notes of the C major scale.

Consequently to this also the tones and semitones sequence to determine any natural minor scale will be (T, S, T, T, S, T, T).

We note that the natural minor scale has the third, sixth and seventh minor; this means that compared to the major scale, the third, the sixth and the seventh degree are lowered by a semitone.
